We seek to increase sustainable economic incomes of vulnerable women; access to financial resources, and capacity to voice their concerns and participate in decision-making. Likewise, we contribute to guarantee the food and nutritional security of girls and boys, facilitating and advocating public policies that contribute to the provision of adequate services.

“With the support of CARE, the members of my honey and carob production association have started a community bank where each member deposits a small amount each month. These amounts are saved and given as loans to members in need, on a rotation basis. The community bank has helped us tremendously and our members are using it to invest in assets. We trust each other.”

María Julia Ancajima Prado, president of the Association of Beekeepers – ADONAI of Centro Poblado El Tabanco in Piura, “Women in Business” Project.
